Bound for Glory
Over the past few years I’ve enjoyed reading my father’s history as he ties in so many layers of history to his own. Sort of in the spirit of the historical fiction of Forrest Gump, but not fiction and definitely more in depth. I came across this on Digg today and thought it tied in nicely to my father’s history. I have never seen color photographs of that era before. As my wife said, “when you see them in color it is almost like they are staged or not really from that time because you’re so used to only seeing pictures in black and white.” Really wonderful photographs from a historical perspective at least, and some from an artistic perspective.
