Launching Rockets
When I was a kid I loved the thought of launching a rocket into the air. Every so often I would get to make and launch one and it was fun.
I decided to get some rockets and a launcher and give it a whirl again. My girls, Cecilia and Isabella, got roped into it, sort of feeling excited, but I’m not sure how interested in the whole process they were (they are only 6 and 3 respectively). I ended up building the rockets (Cecilia did cut out the parachutes and help me assemble those). We took them out to my friend Jon’s parents’ house that is set on 30 acres of property. I was feeling a bit concerned with the whole liability issues involved with doing it at a park. They don’t seem as forgiving as when I was a kid. Anyway, I posted up some pictures on the Family Website. My sister Julie’s boyfriend took pictures for us.
